Her expertise and innovative contributions demonstrate the significant advantages of secure file‑transfer solutions for small and mid‑sized businesses, particularly when handling sensitive 2D/3D design files, technical reports, and contractual documents. Her work strengthens the platform’s usability, reliability, and alignment with industry expectations, contributing to its broader applicability across critical‑infrastructure sectors. Leah also completed the Cybersecurity for Critical Urban Infrastructure from MIT.

A.S Programming | B.S E-commerce & Business Administration | M.S in Data Analytics w/ Cybersecurity Specialization. Harry is the lead software engineer who turns abstract ideas into reality. He began working with Leah on this project in 2015 as an internal side‑business tool, which was later released in 2021 to support critical‑infrastructure file sharing for professionals such as civil engineers, healthcare teams, and IT departments. His combined experience—spanning industrial software engineering, eCommerce application development, and contributions to the U.S. healthcare sector—ensures that the software remains aligned with industry best practices and compliance standards.

The Beginning

An Idea Opens the Door

Leah, a Licensed Civil Engineer and Project Manager, recognized a critical gap: professionals in engineering, healthcare, and project management lacked a simple, affordable way to securely share sensitive files — CAD drawings, technical reports, and contracts. She opened the idea for what would become Porta SFTP Server, envisioning a solution that anyone could deploy and use regardless of their IT background.

Leah brought in Harry, a lead software engineer with deep experience in information security, healthcare IT, and eCommerce application development. Together, they built the server as an internal side-business tool — a private, lightweight, desktop-driven alternative to the bloated and web-dependent SFTP solutions on the market.
